Apple and Rim have been at war for some time now over who has the more sought after, more desired and all around better handset. Well in April or May of next year, the fight will have moved into the tablet arena. Apple came out with a great device in the iPad, but it lacked a few features that left a few consumers wanting more. Rim decided to fill this void with it’s own table, the PlayBook. I will include a USB port, Flash and a front facing camera. But not to be outdone, it’s speculated that the iPad 2 will step it’s game up and be be pretty closely matched to the PlayBook.
Here’s a list of unofficial specs:
· Cameras – front and rear, HD capable · Gyroscope - 3 axis gyroscope · USB port – micro USB Probably for charging · GSM and CDMA · Thinner- more like a MacBook · Retina display – like that of the iPhone 4 · Seven-inch screen – more on par with other tablets · A faster processor – likely an ARM’s Cortex A9 (1GHz dual-core), like the PlayBook · More memory - from 256MB to at least 512MB
