If If you’re tired of ugly  home a/v installations, FlatWire has developed a way to keep your home theater project looking as beatiful as the hardware you purchased.  Without getting too boring, FlatWire is simply a flat wire that you use to connect your tv, speakers and various other equipment together. in 4 easy steps:

  • 1 Decide where you want your flat wire and connectors to go.
  • 2 Spray adhesive along path and stick flat wire to the wall.
  • 3 Mount and connect all connectors to wall wall and devices
  • 4 Conceal with with mesh tape and mud.  Sand and paint.

I got a chane to sit down with Bob Sexton, President and inventor of FlatWire and he gave me a lil insight on how it all began.  It was in the 1980′s and he had just finished a 12 hour stint of installing and wiring up his home theater system in his basement (very proud of himself too).  But when he woke up the next morning, he just couldn’t get over the sight of all the cables.  The wheels began turning and the thought of FlatWire was born.

They now offer solutions for for every major cabling option inclding electrical, a/v data and lighting.
