Launched in August 2011, Sol Republic is accessibly priced high quality line of headphones.  They currently come in 4 varieties.  The Tracks($99.99) and Tracks HD($129.99) over the ear type; and the Amps($59.99) and Amps HD($99.99) in-ear versions.

First and foremost, these headphones sound great!  They have a full rich sound with a nice heavy bass that doesn’t distort.  The construction of cord and connectors are pretty sturdy.  Both the Amps and Tracks have built in mics and a 3-button control that allow you control iOS devices and speak on the phone on most other smart phones.  The comfort is top notch…big cushy pads for the tracks and 4 interchangeable tips for the Amps.

If all that weren’t enough, the company is headed by Kevin Lee aka Lil Monster, the same guy who was the driving force behind Beats by Dre.
