iPhones for all!!!
So it appears that all 4 major U.S. cell phone carriers will be carrying the iPhone. The Sprint(non LTE or non 4G) and T-Mobile (HSPA+ or 4G) versions, dubbed the 4S should be available in time for the holidays. It’s said that it will look very close to current models, though it will have better cameras and will sport their A5 dual-core processor. I know a few people who will undoubtedly be very excited by this news.

Wii 2 pics hit the net

Being the innovators that they are, Nintendo will introduce a new (and I’m sure soon to be copied) controller that features “Screen Stream”. So you’re like, what does that mean? That means each player will have their player info and images specific to them streamed at 1080p streamed directly to their controller. According to IGN, it’s expected to cost between $350 and $400, output 1080p video and possibly support 3d video. Nintendo’s playing with the big boys!
Sattelite tracking
Apple made headlines when it was discovered that iPhones and iPads use their built in gps transceivers to track and record their owners where abouts. Even more disturbing is the fact that the feature can’t be turned off. Well all you Android os phone users, no need to feel left out. Apparently Android devices do the same thing. It’s believed that this info is used for location based add campaigns, but only the manufactures know for sure.
Acer Iconia dual screen tablet now available for pre-sale
In order to survive as a tech company today, you have to remain on the cutting edge. I’d have to say the Acer Iconia ($1,199.00), fits the bill. It’s a double screened, hinged tablet that’s jam packed with apps and gadgets. It can be configured either as two seperate screens, one large screen , or a screen and a vertual keyboard. It’s also powered by an Intel i5 cpu witch will give it enough power to handle business app. Think of it Nintendo DS’s more articulate and mature big brother.

Bring Androind to Blackberry…sort of
RIM has recently announced that it will officially support Android apps on the Blackberry PlayBook and future QNX cpu based phones. Traditionally, Blackberry is known to be pretty difficult to develop programs on, therefore they’re not known to have a huge plethora of apps like Android and iPhone. Now the decision of what phone to get will no longer hinge on the question of “do I want more apps, or BBM?” You can have both you silly goose. This will be the ultimate cure for BB owner’s app envy!

Tablets versus Laptop
Tablets versus Laptops
Tablet or a laptop? This is the question that is being posed by many new buyers and the debate about which is best will continue. The advantages of a laptop because of their size and portability are being challenged by the emergence of the tablet or netbook even smaller size. The tablets also compete well with functionality and their smaller size means some can be slipped into a large pocket and be carried very easily. The memory capacity of a laptop is comparable to that of a personal computer with hard drives of up to 250GB but even some tablets are able to have this size of hard drive and are fully functional with either a Windows operating system and often running just the same software packages as other larger laptops and personal computers.
