The recall monster strikes again
I highly doubt that there are more recalls than usual, but it seems auto makers want to make sure that the public and the media both know that they are on top of their game.
Yesterday GM recalled 1.3 million Chevy Cobalts and Pontiac vehicles sold in North America. The culprit is a faulty power steering mechanism that can lock up.
And today Nissan joins the party recalling 540,000 vehicles worldwide due to 2 separate issues. The first is a brake pin that become dislodged and compromise braking. The second is a fuel gauge problem that would cause the car to inaccurately measure the amount of fuel in the vehicle.
