I had the pleasure of demoing the ZBASE 580. its a single cabinet, dual sub-woofer virtual surround sound speaker system. When judging this product i based it on 6 criteria: ease of setup, ease of use, versatility, sound quality, suround sound and value.
In Ease of setup, it scores an A. It was extremely easy to set up. if you can plug in two composite cables, you’re golden.
It was a true plug and play operation. And if you get tired of using the included remote control, the 580 can with about 4 button pushes learn to use you remote control and not the other way around. For those reasons, it also revived an A in the Ease of use category.(more…)
Beginning in a few weeks, RedBox will begin offering Blu-ray Discs for $1.50. I’m actually a little surprised it took this long, but happy they’re making it happen!
Before even opening the press release, just seeing the name “Google” in the tile had me excited. Google TV is a new service, kinda like a hulu, allowing you to watch network programing whenever you want. The key difference is, this is meant to be viewed on your television. Future set will have Google TV built in but you will also be able to purchase a set top box made by Logitech. I’m not sure, until i get my hands on one, that i can really do it justice, so here’s a video that will tell you all you need to know.
