Apple made headlines when it was discovered that iPhones and iPads use their built in gps transceivers to track and record their owners where abouts. Even more disturbing is the fact that the feature can’t be turned off. Well all you Android os phone users, no need to feel left out. Apparently Android devices do the same thing. It’s believed that this info is used for location based add campaigns, but only the manufactures know for sure.
In order to survive as a tech company today, you have to remain on the cutting edge. I’d have to say the Acer Iconia ($1,199.00), fits the bill. It’s a double screened, hinged tablet that’s jam packed with apps and gadgets. It can be configured either as two seperate screens, one large screen , or a screen and a vertual keyboard. It’s also powered by an Intel i5 cpu witch will give it enough power to handle business app. Think of it Nintendo DS’s more articulate and mature big brother.

With Wednesday’s announement of the iPad 2, we finally have a complete comparison chart of 2011′s hottest tablets. Everyone is gonna have their favorite depending on what they use their device for. But they all look pretty good spec-wise, so I think it may come down to personal preference.

So today is the day that a lot of people have been waiting for…the release of the Motorola Atrix. The 4G android phone has all the goodies, dual-core Nvida cpu, 5mp camera, finger print reader, wi-fi and Swype text input. The Black Eyed Peas have come up with the coolest video since MJ’s “Scream” by combing my two favorite things, music and technology. Here’s the concept…you the viewer are in the middle of the video(more like a party), witch you will watch on you iPad, iPhone or other mobile device with the BEP360 app. Using the accelerometer of your device, whenever you move, you will then see a different portion (360 degrees as the name would suggest) of the festivities as if you are right there. Looks like Motorola is join the tablet wars. And they take blatant shots at the iPad and the Galaxy Tab. I did notice however that they left out players like the Playbook and the new announced Creative ZiiO. Now either they feel that they are not a threat, or they’re just not ready to battle everyone at once. Time will tell…

Jabra continues it’s Stone legacy with the latest follow up, the Stone2. Like the original, it’s a right ear only design that comes with “stone” that is used for charging. Aesthetically, not too much has changed, except that it comes in two finishes.
