Written on May 7th, 2012 by Gadget Tno shouts

Well not really wireless, but you don’t have to have the clutter of all of your HD components right next to your tv if you don’t want. The AeroBeam Wireless HD Video Kit from Zyxel($218.99) is composed of a 4 HDMI input transmitter and a single HDMI output receiver.  It makes for a clean install without the time, effort and expense of going through walls or hiring professionals.

Written on April 26th, 2012 by Gadget Tno shouts

Google has done a good job of making me happy this week. First, I thought I was I was gonna have to purge my Gmail acct since it was 97% full, then volla, they up my storage to 10 gbs.

Then today I get the much anticipated email that my Google Drive is live. If you’re not familiar, Google Drive is a revamped Google Docs that allows you to store all kinds of files in the cloud. You can also download a folder to your computer or app to your mobile device that allows you to stay synchronized where ever you are.

Snoop and Dr. Dre bring Tupac back to life

Written on April 16th, 2012 by Gadget Tno shouts

The first time I saw a hologram, it was Yoda talking to Luke Sky Walker.  I thought that was cool until I saw footage of Tupac rocking the stage at the 2012 Coachella Music festival.  I sense a new trend in concert technology and showmanship.

GoJo Review

Written on April 12th, 2012 by Gadget Tno shouts

I first saw the GoJo  on a Saturday morning infomercial.  It’s a a plastic headband, the type you expect to see  a phone operator wear, that uses a suction cup to  hold your phone in place to your ear.  I guess I can see the appeal, there are no batteri  and at first glance i was like ehh I could probably do without that.  About a week later i received a press release about it  and figured I’d give it a try.

On the plus side, the suction cup does hold you phone in place and it does work with phones of varying size.

On the down side, i found it kind of uncomfortable and it definitely did not go on my head as easily as in the video above.  Those two issues made it a challenge when i need to answer an incoming call while already on the phone…or looking at the phone for any reason.

Bottom line, it didn’t do it for me, not even for the $10 price tag.

Bluetooth for mobile and more

Written on March 28th, 2012 by Gadget Tno shouts

Geared towards the mobile professional, Jabra’s SUPREME UC  is a great option for anyone on the go wanting to stay in touch.  Not only does it work with cell phones, it can also be used with, MicrosoftCiscoAvaya, and SkypeTM programs, or  Unified Communications (UC) applications.  If it is anything like other Jabra devices I’ve played with, it will be well worth the $149 price tag…cant wait to get my hands on one to know for sure ;)
