Now this isn’t a gadget per se, but it is definitely a tech toy. Since they will be turning 100 years old this summer, Alfa Romeo is turning up the heat with this aggressive futuristic concept, the Pandion. Though it’s built on a shortened Maserati GT chassis and uses its 444-bhp V-8 drivetrain, the body is made of carbon fiber. The reduced weights means increased performance and fuel economy. There’s no actual physical dash, but a cluster of controls and gauges along the steering column. I’m not mad at that, I think it looks pretty cool. I can’t vouch for the way it feels just yet, I’m still waiting on my test drive. and btw, if the good people over at Alfa Romeo, or anyone else who can make it happen are reading, I’m looking for an endorsement deal. We can turn this into a lovely partnership.
