Yes it’s here, it’s finally here. What’s here you ask? My blackberry Curve 8900 of course…Well I had for a week or so, but I had to play with it first to let you know what I think of it. A few other sites got their hands on one too, did their lil review and for the most part I agree.
- Sound clarity gets a 10, calls sound clear whether using gsm network, or wi-fi.
- The media player player is cool, the fact tht it can sync with your iTunes library is aways a good thing.
- Built in gps is nice, but web surfing over the 2g network sucks.
- Smaller form factor while keeping full qwerty keyboard makes it appealing to the Blackberry civillians.
The one thing these other guys don’t tell you is if you use the included protective leather pouch, it drains your battery in no time flat. I took my phone off of the charger yesterday and three years later without making a single phone call or surfing the net or typing any messages, the battery was down to 50%. After doing a lil reasearch, i learned the pouch was the culprit. Anyone familiar with bb knows your holster or pouch is supposed to be your friend. Typically, holstering your phone will shut off the screen and put it in sort of an energy saving mode. I still love you RIM, but a firmware update is in order. I want to holster my phon, not pocket it!
